Many law firms are sceptical about the benefits of introducing flexible working and are concerned that the burden of making the flexible working arrangement work is greater than any benefit they may derive from it. However, increasing numbers of young solicitors wish to have more of a work/life balance outside work and are demanding just that from their law firms.

The Young Solicitors Group asked me to speak at their conference on the issues of flexible working: "The Flexible Alternative" held at the Law Society.
